Please don't be carried away by the title, describing a woman too. I always wonder when people call someone as clever some as intelligent and some as wise. Some people are knowledgeable? What is the difference.
Of course, this is not something about english usage but describing a man's potential with regard to his brain and soul. Let me ponder over these as much short as possble.
If a person is called as CLEVER, I think it is definitely not a compliment. It is something like a feeling of cunningness attached to the tag of cleverness. A person who is clever is able to achieve the target by any means, he will strive hard to succeed with any means. He may even steal your ideas and show them as his' and get the praising and reward. We come across quite lot of such people around us in our day-today life. We even call a Politician who has swindled money escaping without getting arrested as CLEVER. So a clever man is someone like a fox or a crow. They will achieve things but they are not reliable and hence not to be confused with the next man who is an INTELLIGENT.
An INTELLIGENT person is one who knows the means to win-over and he is not selfish like the clever man. He will not do anything to achieve his goals, but he uses his own judgement and straight ways and he may also fail some times. But yet he is praiseworthy because he is clever minus cunning, selfishness and unreliability. This man is still somewhere lesser than the man who is KNOWLEDGEABLE.
The KNOWLEDGEABLE man is one who reads a lot and observes a lot and learnt a lot from own life and people around him. He is the reproduction all the predecessors lived before as he knows about them and his thoughts and actions are just the reproduction of the best of what he knows, read and seen. He justifies and does a thing but never worries about the success or failure. He is noble , a good guide and philosopher but remember, he is just a reproduction of what he learnt before and seen before and read before . So nothing new can be expected from him. He is always a contrast to a WISE man
A WISE man is not knowledgeable because he may not have necessarily read much books or observed people and neither experienced a lot but he is plain and thinks plain. He is called a man of wisdom. He possesses that as a quality.(like possessing kindom) He is innovative because he is not influenced by the thoughts of others as he may not be a one who has read a lot or observed a lot. He tells what he feels correct and as there are no influence on him he is always correct in his judgement. We have come across many such personalities in our life such as sadhus, sanyasis, swamys and even politicians who are sometimes illiterate but give solutions on the spot and render crystal clear guidance. The Zens are an example. There was a person who was so knowledgeable but actually looking for peace and an ultimate solution to the life and the burden of living it. He was searching for the answer and not satisfying with any , went to a sanyasi who was actually a beggar on the street corner. He put the question to him. " what is the solution for life and peace?". The beggar sanyasi did not answer but continued ignoring him and his question. After a long persistence, the begggar sanyasi angirily replied "summa kida" meaning "just keep quiet".
And that is the answer and ENLIGHTMENT.
An ENLIGHTED person comes next in the list and of course the last. They are called as such because they got the enlightment just like a flash and in a single minute or may be even in a second. Budhha was an example. They are nearer to GOD. What they tell us are not words but Verses .

And that is the order from
Clever, Intelligent, Knowledgeable, Wise and The enlightened .
Forget about the usage of English in these words but just ponder over the description and proper distinction of men we come across in our life.
