MUMBAI TERROR

The following artcile was posted at CNN IBNs Citizen Charter on Dec 07, 2008

CollspePosted Sunday , Dec 07, 2008 09:05 PM : By SASIDHARAN B, HYDERABAD)

It has become emotionally habitual for us to light candles to remember those who laid down their lives for terrorism or to put flowers and garlands on their Samadhi every year and shed two or three drops of tears. But remember! This is not going to resolve terrorism but only going to push the volume of business for candle manufacturers and flower vendors. Let us resolve not to light candles, but to light awareness among the public about terrorism and to use our anger to burn the evil terrorism and dirty politics and their influence on the very lives of the citizens of our nation.

Shifting the politician from one post to another and changing of one politician to another during turmoil or dramatically stepping down from the post has become the order of the day. This is nothing but cheap tricks played by the politicians to woo our citizens who are potential voters who make them cash rich and generation rich. They are very much aware that we will all forget all these grave issues when we are pampered with some other issues like increase in the price of vegetables, particularly onion or increase in the price of diesel and petrol. Or at least they will see that you do not get power for some days so that you forget all these issues and start grumbling about not getting electricity (mainly because you cannot watch TV). Otherwise as the last resort, they will create a major festival of our country, which is the general election with which you forget everything. You feel so proud that you are cared; you are respected and even greeted by these great politician and they tell you all about exercising your voting rights; the importance of it and you end up with choosing one of these people and things continue....candle lights and flower garlands

SUGGESTIONS: TO PUBLIC:

 • CREATE AWARENESSS • DO NOT GET EMOTIONAL. INSTEAD GET ANGER AND USE IT SENSIBILY • DO NOT EMOTIONALISE WITH THE DATES LIKE 26/11 OR 7TH DECEMBER. GIVEN AN OPPORTUNITY TERRORIST WILL STRIKE YOU ON ANY DATE CONVENIENT TO THEM. REMEMBER! THEY WILL STRIKE YOU ON ALL THE 365 DAYS IF POSSIBLE • IF WE BECOME LENIENT, THEY WILL MAKE US REMEMBER ALL THE 365 DAYS FOR TERRORISM • LET US RESOLVE THAT WE WILL NOT ALLOW YET ANOTHER DAY FOR US TO REMEMBER, TO LIGHT CANDLE OR TO LAY GARLANDS • TRY TO DO SOMETHING TO CHANGE THE SYSTEM (POLITICAL, JUDICIAL, ECONOMICAL) AT INDIVIDUAL LEVEL • DO NOT MAKE POLITICIANS HEROES; TREAT THEM NORMAL, AT LEAST YOUR EQUAL • DO NOT FORGET GRAVE ISSUES. ALWAYS KEEP THEM IN MIND. NOT ONLY ON THE ANNUAL REMMEBERANCE DAY • DO NOT BE CARRIED AWAY FORGETTING GRAVE ISSUES WHEN OTHER ISSUES (MAY BE IMPORTANT) PAMPER YOU. ALWAYS KEEP DEBATING

 TO RULING MACHINERIES

• EQUIP POLICE AND SECURITY FORCE WITH ARMS AND TECHNOLOGY AT LEAST EQUIVALENT TO THE TERRORISTS • IT SEEMS WE HAVE SEEN LOT OF FILMS SHOWING TERRORISM BUT WE DONOT KNOW WHETHER FILM PEOPLE TAKE CUE FROM THEM OR TERRORIST FOLLOW FILMS, BUT LET US ALSO LEARN FROM THESE MEDIA TO TACKLE THE ISSUES • DO NOT EYEWASH SIMPLY BY TIGHTENING THE SECURITY WHENVEVER THERE IS A TERRORIST STRIKE SOMEWHERE, AND THEN LOOSEN YOUR GRIP AFTER A FEW DAYS. REMEMBER TERORISTS ARE NOT FOOLS. THEY DO NOT STTRIKE YOU IMMEDIATELY AFTER ONE. THEY TEND TO STRIKE YOU ONLY AFTER EVERY THING BECOMES COOL AND WHEN YOU STOP YOUR CHECKING AND PEOPLE ARE WORRIED MORE ABOUT OTHER ISSUES LIKE PRICE RISE, RAINS, OR POWER CUTS • DISASTER RECOVERY MANAGEMENT SHOULD NOT BE ROUTINE BUT BASED ON REALITY AND WITH COMMITMENT • SIMPLY NOT TO SHOW THAT SOMETHING IS THERE ON RECORDS THAT WE HAVE DONE MOCK DRILL LAST YEAR AND WILL BE DONE EVERY YEAR • INTERCEPTION OR LEADS RECEIVED THROUGH ANY INTELLIGENCE SOURCE ARE NOT JUST FOR SHOWING TO USA OR THE WORLD AS A PROOF THAT THE LINK HAS COME FROM PAKISTAN OR FROM SUCH ORGANISATION, BUT TO USE IT WISELY TO AVOID THE MISHAPS • LET US HOPE P.CHIDAMBARAM WHO HAS NOT SHOWN ANY CONCERN WHEN THE PRICES WERE RAISING FOR VEGETABLES OR OTHER ESSENTIAL COMMODITIEIS AND INFLATION WAS TOUCHING AN ALLTIME HEIGHT BUT SHOWED HIS ANGER IMMEDIATELY WHEN THE PRICES OF CAR, REAL EASTATE AND FLATS INCREASED WILL BE ABLE TO COPEUP WITH TERRORISM DELIGENTLY NOT ON PAPERS BUT PRACTICALLY. LET HIM NOT SHOW ANY SORT OF STATISTICS OR COMPARISON TO MEDIA THAT IT HAS REDUCED PERCENTAGEWISE COMPARED TO LAST WEEK OR LAST MONTH EVERY NOW AND THEN

TO MEDIA

• SOMETIMES WE FEEL WHETHER YOU ARE HAPPY TO GET SUCH ISSUES SO THAT YOU NEED TO FOCUS ONLY ON THESE ISSUES 24 HOURS A DAY WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT SPENDING YOUR TIME AND BRAIN FOR OTHER ISSUES FOR AT LEAST SOME DAYS THEN START OVER WITH SOME OTHER BRIBERY ISSUES • WHENEVER SUCH THINGS HAPPEN, IT IS HIGHTIME STOP PUTTING ON YOUR SCREEN SOME OLD AGED POLITICIANS OR BUREACRAUTS DISCUSSING THE ISSUES STARTING WITH PERSONAL FIGHTS AND ENDING WITH A FORCED SMILE • TAKE PUBLIC, STUDENTS, WRITERS AND INTELLECTUAL ON THE DIAS TO DISCUSS CREATE A REFERENDUM AND SEND THEM TO POLITICIANS • INVITE CRITICISMS, OUTBURSTS, DARING COMMENTS, ANGER AND ALLEGATIONS, HOWEVER VIOLENT THEY ARE. LET IT BE TRANSPARENT AND UNBIASED • USE YOUR INVESTIGATING SKILLS WHICH WAS USED FOR UNEARTHING BRIBERY ISSUES ETC TO PROBE THESE TERRORISM ISSUES ALSO ANY CONNECTION, POLITICS, CAN BE BROUGHT OUT FINALLY WE MAY SAY “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH” BUT REMEMBER! OUT THERE THESE TERRORISTS ARE WAITING, TO GIVE US A LITTLE MORE

SEPTEMBER THE ELEVENTH

                                                                                                             -Sasidhar

It was five minutes past seven o’ clock in the evening of September 11th of last year. The weather was slightly chill as against normal Delhi’s weather during this month. It was not difficult to reach the Safdarjung enclave area from my residence at Vikas puri. The traffic was though heavy at this peak office hours except at one or two junctions and near the Daula kuan roundtana, I was able to drive my car smoothly and particularly the complete stretch of Cantonment area was covered by me much faster than I expected. On reaching the signal before the Safdarjung Hospital, I had to take the right turn to reach the area. The funny thing is that I had to spend more time searching for the flat I was looking for in the Safdarjung Enclave area than to reach it. The address was that of one of my colleague’s cousin who has recently returned from the United States and has purchased a new flat in this posh area, and I was recklessly moving here and there enquiring about the address as almost there was no orderliness in the streets and the house numbers.

A roadside pawnwala finally helped me to find the correct direction, and as I reached the destination I was astonished at the posh structure of the building where the flat of Mr.Sharma, situated. The grill gate was huge and it was already half open and the watchman at the doorstep opened it fully on seeing my car and I felt embarrassed parking my tiny car in between two huge flashing imported cars parked in the parking area.

My colleague has already informed me that Mr.Sharma is an enterprising businessman in United States and is having his own office floor in one of the busiest streets in New York and my very idea of having come to this dinner hosted by Mr.Sharma is to get introduced to him which may help in getting some business connection for my upcoming project. Ms.Nirupama, my colleague, has assured me her help in this assignment of winning the confidence of Mr.Sharma.

As I came out of my car with the crutches and put them under my arms, within no time I found the watchman coming running to help me come out of the car and walk towards the lift. I was overwhelmed by the kindness, rather sympathy shown to me wherever I go, which I could not find when I was in the States. Of course, people in States are helpful, but very rarely they volunteer to help somebody in distress.

On reaching the lift, people who are standing near the lift to get in, politely gave me my share of preference to enter, and the liftboy pressed the eighth floor button for me. I could not hear a slightest sound on nearing the door of the flat until it was opened on my slightest knock. I was surprised to see the wide hall fully decorated and people moving all over with dish plates and drinking glass filled by the uniformed servants now and then. My eyes were looking for Ms.Nirupama, the only known soul in this part of the world, and my heart was beating fast crying for her appearance. Luckily without much time lapsing, I could hear the voice of Ms.Nirupama welcoming me. “Hi! Jagjit, come on, I will introduce you to my friends and Mr.Sharma”. I followed her to the corner of the hall slowly moving with my crutches, and she offered me a plateful of snacks and a glass of soft drink.

Meanwhile Nirupama brought along with her a bunch of people all of whom were dressed in coats and ties and the man in the center wearing a navy blue coat with a pink tie and a flashy gold bracelet, I guessed, must be Mr. Sharma. My guess was correct and Nirupama took me to him and politely introduced me. “Sharma! This is Jagjit, My colleague, Hope you remember him, I already told you about him. He is giant of a software consultant and engineer. He has returned from States last year and started his own projects besides working in our concern as a regular consultant. “
Mr. Sharma offered his hand and I extended mine and as we shook firmly, I felt a little confidence run over my body and thought that I am going to convince him about my project. “I am glad to hear that you were in States, and I don’t know how you returned from there and settled down here. I could not do that,
these stinking places, I could never settle down here permanently, I can only stay here temporarily, that is why I bought this flat, for use whenever I visit here for some business purpose” Sharma told these lines as if he was expecting some objection from any one of the people listening to him, looking at everyone, one by one. No one wanted to enter into an argument with the host, I guessed, simply because I hoped that everyone around was somehow or other dependent on him. I did not rather reply to his comments, as I was also one who is looking for a favour from him if possible.

Nirupama tried to ease out the tension by offering me a drink to which I politely refused. “No, thanks, Nirup, I find it difficult to drive after taking some pegs.”

A servant brought a plateful of cashews at the flick of fingers by the host who offered a handful of them to me, which I had accepted. Taking a glass full of some hard drink, Mr. Sharma ushered all of us to a velvet-cushioned sofa kept in the corner and made us sit there and he took to the center of the sofa set. I could notice Nirupa slightly worried about her cousin who seem to have consumed more drinks than he ought to have.

Now Sharma started talking “You people you know, where I am staying and where my office at New York located? You will not believe, it was just half a mile opposite the twin towers, you see when I open the glass windows of my office flat I could see the twin towers; it was almost like a show piece hanging on my wall. Now I lost that scenario, it was a great decoration to my office.”

He was looking with pride at everyone around him and I could sense great admiration flowing from the guests who were seated around him and listening.

“Now, listen boys, you know why I have chosen today for giving a party for purchasing this new flat? Any guess?” He looked at each one of us and without waiting for an answer he replied, “Today is 11th of September, exactly the same day of the destruction of twin towers.” I was shocked to hear this because I myself did not think of it and I thought it could have been a sheer coincidence that today is the anniversary of twin tower’s death. But I was still wondering what could be the reason for Sharma’s hosting a party would do with it.

“You know guys; I was watching the twin tower collapsing like a pack of cards from my office through the glass windows. Oh boy! What a sight! I could not forget it.” I could see that he was actually enjoying recalling the memories as he continued. “You must all now agree that I was so fortunate to watch this through my own eyes!” People seated around him half drunk found it interesting and gathered much interest and started asking queries with amusement.

“Really, Sharma, You saw all these things through your own eyes, we could only watch this on TV in bits of clippings, now and then”

“Did you take any photograph or video?”

Sharma cut short. “No. No! Who had any time to look for a camera at that time, I was of course tense, because we do not know what happened, but now I feel that I have witnessed a great incident of this century and great thing is that the sight of twin tower going like a pack of cards amidst clouds of dust…vow. What a sight!”

I could not control my anger at his sadistic and crude pleasure but sensing the atmosphere with people around him drunken and listening to whatever he bluffs with admiration, I kept quiet and waited for a chance to slip out of the scene.

Suddenly Sharma turned to me “Hey, Mr... Jag. Jagjit, you were in United States at that time, aren’t you? Did you see the twin towers collapse?”

“No,” I replied.

“Where were you at that time?” He questioned me mockingly.

“I was in New York”

“My God, you were in New York, still you could not witness the sight, what a pity! Very unfortunate! , but tell me exactly where you were located at that time.”

“‘I was of course not fortunate enough to watch the fantastic sight of the twin towers collapsing, but I was unfortunate enough to be in the fourth floor of the second tower at the time of destructions. That is why I could not see them coming down. But I lost my right leg while jumping from the fourth floor to save my life” I said this to Sharma and all the people sitting around him and took my crutches and walked slowly out towards the door.

PIGEON PROJECT

DAY ONE 27.06.08

DAY TWO 28.06.08

PIGEON FEED'S BABIES

While browsing the internet, We have found a lot of queries regarding why we are unable to see the baby pigeons. We learnt that mostly because the pigeons hatch on high rise buildings, small gaps of windows and they are very sensitive of being watched and so submissive but yet very non coperative. That is why they are called a symbol of peace. The pigeons lay eggs and hatch for a period of three weeks and normally they lay two eggs and hatch them. The hatching is being done by both mother and father pigeons by turn i.e., mother taking night shift and father taking day shift. The eggs break and baby pigeons come out in three weeks. Then again, the baby sitting is done in the same way., by turns. The feeding is mostly done by both of them.

We have had the opportunity of watching all these happenings, as one pigeon hatched behind our outdoor AC unit in our third floor balcony. All the video files were taken by us with the mobile, keeping it still near them, as you cannot stand near them and take pictures, as they fly away. Mind it, they are very sensitive and afraid of people at this stage. Hours of video files captured in our mobile were edited and presented to you in three capsule files.

TRIVENI SANGAMAM

This one is at Kanyakumari, a beautiful seashore, called Triveni Sangamam (meaning merging of three seas(Arabian sea, Indian Ocean and Bay of Bengal). But watch this picture. It gives you a mysic, silent, puzzled and a fearsome look.

This was shot just three months before the Tsunami 2005.
In this same beautiful spot,
it was believed more than a hundred lost their lives.

MYSELF

Today, in a workshop on creativity and innovation for Business Development at Qualityinn Residency,Hyderabad,
the participants were asked to write a poem on the topic MYSELF

This one is mine

MYSELF

To write a poem on myself,
the topic is so dry
Still I want to give it a try
By splitting the title as MY ‘SELF’

You represent me with a mirror my size
You open up, for me, to dump things,
without making any noise
Taking good, bad and ugly of my choice
You are full of knowledge, with books so nice

When I close you and shut, you shout
*clean me up” with creaking noise

You heard a saying “tell me who your friend is,
I will tell you who you are!”
Now: show me your ‘self ’, I will tell you who you are!

When I suggested you with meditation for ‘realisation’
You said “better some repainting and lubrication”?

Hold on! You read the title wrong

correct it and read it once again, it is about My Shelf

DESCRIBING A MAN

-Sasidhar
Please don't be carried away by the title, describing a woman too. I always wonder when people call someone as clever some as intelligent and some as wise. Some people are knowledgeable? What is the difference.
Of course, this is not something about english usage but describing a man's potential with regard to his brain and soul. Let me ponder over these as much short as possble.

If a person is called as CLEVER, I think it is definitely not a compliment. It is something like a feeling of cunningness attached to the tag of cleverness. A person who is clever is able to achieve the target by any means, he will strive hard to succeed with any means. He may even steal your ideas and show them as his' and get the praising and reward. We come across quite lot of such people around us in our day-today life. We even call a Politician who has swindled money escaping without getting arrested as CLEVER. So a clever man is someone like a fox or a crow. They will achieve things but they are not reliable and hence not to be confused with the next man who is an INTELLIGENT.

An INTELLIGENT person is one who knows the means to win-over and he is not selfish like the clever man. He will not do anything to achieve his goals, but he uses his own judgement and straight ways and he may also fail some times. But yet he is praiseworthy because he is clever minus cunning, selfishness and unreliability. This man is still somewhere lesser than the man who is KNOWLEDGEABLE.

The KNOWLEDGEABLE man is one who reads a lot and observes a lot and learnt a lot from own life and people around him. He is the reproduction all the predecessors lived before as he knows about them and his thoughts and actions are just the reproduction of the best of what he knows, read and seen. He justifies and does a thing but never worries about the success or failure. He is noble , a good guide and philosopher but remember, he is just a reproduction of what he learnt before and seen before and read before . So nothing new can be expected from him. He is always a contrast to a WISE man

A WISE man is not knowledgeable because he may not have necessarily read much books or observed people and neither experienced a lot but he is plain and thinks plain. He is called a man of wisdom. He possesses that as a quality.(like possessing kindom) He is innovative because he is not influenced by the thoughts of others as he may not be a one who has read a lot or observed a lot. He tells what he feels correct and as there are no influence on him he is always correct in his judgement. We have come across many such personalities in our life such as sadhus, sanyasis, swamys and even politicians who are sometimes illiterate but give solutions on the spot and render crystal clear guidance. The Zens are an example. There was a person who was so knowledgeable but actually looking for peace and an ultimate solution to the life and the burden of living it. He was searching for the answer and not satisfying with any , went to a sanyasi who was actually a beggar on the street corner. He put the question to him. " what is the solution for life and peace?". The beggar sanyasi did not answer but continued ignoring him and his question. After a long persistence, the begggar sanyasi angirily replied "summa kida" meaning "just keep quiet".
And that is the answer and ENLIGHTMENT.

An ENLIGHTED person comes next in the list and of course the last. They are called as such because they got the enlightment just like a flash and in a single minute or may be even in a second. Budhha was an example. They are nearer to GOD. What they tell us are not words but Verses .
And that is the order from
Clever, Intelligent, Knowledgeable, Wise and The enlightened .

Forget about the usage of English in these words but just ponder over the description and proper distinction of men we come across in our life.

A SCENIC BEAUTY

The above picture was taken by me at Kamarajar Lake, Ooty, South India about 7 years back.
The beauty of this picture is that you can feel the mood of the weather, the water of the lake so clear, the surroundings evergreen and the sky gloomy
all merging together creating a fourth dimensional effect.
Many find this particular picture kept as a wallpaper on their desktop brings a cool effect on their straining eyes. Try it for yourself.

THE COMMON ENEMY

COMMON ENEMY
--Sasidhar-

If a single question were posed to all the human beings on earth to name the most common enemy of the mankind, undoubtedly the most suitable single answer would be ‘mosquito’. Not in the sense, that it spreads dangerous and dreaded diseases like malaria, dengue etc., but due to the most irritating pricking made by them and unbearable songs sung by them. Talking about the dreaded diseases, they were all eradicated, way back in the 21st century, to be precise, during the period 2020.

Mankind has achieved many a thing, ever since, like vehicles using water as fuel and man able to fly with an attached propellers run by the laser aided mini computers, controlled elsewhere.

One thing man cannot achieve was ofcourse eradicating mosquitoes themselves and it has become mandatory for the citizens to sleep in the open to avail the benefits of artificial ozone layer created with the help of satellites developed by Indian and American scientists which help humankind to get away from the dangers of ultra violet radiation which has become acute since 2075 AD. Hence sleeping inside with all cooling machines and covering oneself would tamper the health in the long run. But sleeping has become a nightmare due to the menace created by the ever-increasing mosquito population.

Many a scientists are on their toes, with their researches, round the clock to kill the common enemy completely but without much success. In the primitive age people were using nets, then some creams were also applied on human bodies to get mosquitoes away, and after that some chemical coated papers were used to drive them away. In the earlier 21st century people even used some device, which mimics breathing mammals so as to attract the mosquitoes to them, and then sucked into the device. The device managed the mimic by emitting Co2 using liquid petroleum gas along with some moisture and scent spraying mechanism, which perfected the art of mimicking the act of a breathing mammal.

But with all these techniques, the mosquitoes were clever enough to adapt to the situation and adjust to them and get acquainted with the ideas by mankind to eliminate them and grow faster than ever before.

There was another device invented during the beginning of the year 2050, which incorporated the laser beam rays with electric impulses emitting from them, which will target the moving things in the atmosphere with a lesser weight and dimension by killing them instantly, But the problem is if you use this device, in the morning when you woke up, you are smothered with lot of dead insects all over your bed and some times even inside your mouth if it is kept open for a while when sleeping. But still the device is in vogue even now, by far the popular one with its near perfect performance.

All these years I was also on the tracks of these researches and doing round the clock laboratory tests with more than 2300 tests conducted so far but the result was not quiet satisfactory until I stumped upon an idea taken from a very old German classic tale of the 13th century. The story is of a Pied Piper from Hamlin who kills all the rats in a city by using a magic pipe blowing a specific tune, which attracted all the rats in the city following him and finally dumped into the river from the top of the riverside hill.

I was taken aback by the idea and was working on this line to eradicate the whole mosquito society. I somehow came to a final curtain down by developing a device which would emit low emitting noise which mimics the sound generated by both the female and male mosquitoes during their reproductive stages. I have managed to create the noise emitted around say about 500kms approximately, and with the help from the Central Nation controlled by the American and Indian I can manage to develop such device in large numbers which may bring an end to the unending menace created to the mankind since its inhibition.

The idea of getting the Intellectual award, the highest award given on earth, made me shiver and tremble with excitement.

I could not resist even imagining the scene where I was felicitated by the great leaders of the united countries by the greatest award, and hence I worked day and night for performing the feat to a near perfection by slowly increasing the range of distance of the device I invented to attract mosquitoes. Finally I have concluded and finished the papers after the last lab test and the trial was successful to the utmost satisfaction of myself and my most confident assistant who worked all along my research period.

That day I wanted to doze off earlier so as to enable me to get up soon the next day, when I was to present the papers to the eminent group of scientists who would be present and test the trials and on approval recommend the device to the government department, which looks after the patenting and licensing of such inventions. I gave my assistant permission to leave earlier and prepared my dinner very meagerly and lightly, and went for a doze.

I do not know when I fell asleep; suddenly I heard a bash on my left shoulders trying to wake me up. I woke up and found to my bewilderment a man, in his middle age his face fully covered with beard and moustache, standing besides my bed.

“How the hell, could you come inside, it was locked?” I shouted.

The man replied calmly, “your assistant, while leaving in hurry, did not close safety latch properly and moreover you forgot to enter your password on your master computer to lock the doors of the premises. But don’t worry, I am not a thief, I came to talk to you for a while regarding an important thing.”

“The hell, thing you can talk may wait till tomorrow,” I said with an uncontrollable anger literally shown by trembling of my body. The man, intruder, still calm, replied, “No, it cannot wait till tomorrow, it has to be settled today, it is about the trial test you have done successfully today.”

I was astonished and asked, what the trial and what you are talking about, because I was damn sure that my research and particularly my trials were most confidential and done strictly under the most secured survivalence.

“Forget it, don’t worry how I got the information, simply take for granted that I know all the details of your research and trials and the successful trial you have done last night” the man with the beard replied to me with a very sharp eye contact.

I was confused at this moment, whether to buy what he said and immediately guessing what is on my mind, he told the exact range my device tested in the last trial done yesterday which was more than convincing that he knows everything about the trial. Now I tried to look calm and asked him,” now tell me what do you want?”

He said “abandon it, just abandon it” I could not believe what he said and asked, “I beg your pardon?”

“You need not beg my pardon, you abandon your research in this or else you will end up begging your pardon to the entire humanity.”

I could not understand his statement and looked idiotic expression written all over my face. “Okay, I will tell everything in a nutshell which you can understand. Just the preface; this research you have done to eliminate the entire mosquitoes’ community will be detrimental to the humanity as a whole.”

I shot back “don’t be foolish, how eradicating the most dangerous enemy of the mankind since man’s existence could be detrimental to the human, instead I have done a great help by finding at last a way to eliminate them which was the root cause for the most dangerous diseases spread in this world.”

“Well, but we have almost found ways to cope with all the diseases, and as per last scientific status report released by the United Government on April 2090 it was said that almost all the diseases that were spread by the mosquitoes were completely eradicated, and then about the nuisance, I repeat only the nuisance, of pricking by these little creatures, it is still bearable by us and we have got some devices.”

I interrupted “Okay whatever it is, why do you counsel for the deadly creatures?
Are you in your previous birth a mosquito or going to be a mosquito in your next birth? What the hell could happen if I kill all the mosquitoes?”

“You want to know what will happen, you are going to eradicate not only the mosquito community; along with it the entire human race, not far away but in the year 2390, if you still resist and eradicate the mosquitoes from the earth.”

The man seems to confuse me further and further with each of his statement but still I could not resist my temptation though I have not taken him seriously, I questioned, “Who are you? Are you a sort of predictor?”

“I am not a predictor but I am telling you the bare truth, which is going to happen if you insist and continue your trial and implement it. I am sure I can substantiate my claim very logically only if you have the inclination and patience to hear and believe.”

“Well I can hear no problem, but I don’t think I am going to believe it.”

“All right, I will explain everything but do not interrupt and do not try to counter argue as it may look like, as you have said predicting the future. In the year 2375, there is going to be a huge destruction by a newly invented missile, which is most powerful that we can imagine, not based on the nuclear but completely new theory, which I cannot elaborate.

Human force completely destroyed except those who have migrated to the nearby planets like moon and mars and luckily a group of scientists comprising of genetic engineers were also on mars who return after the effect of the missile subsides. To their bewilderment they found that all human force destroyed but not the animals and insects.

The people thus return, found their fertility has come down gradually and finally to a near standstill reproduction of human race due to the effect of the destructive forces imposed on earth and immediate thing is to revive the human force by genetically reproducing it. As the existing human force is without the fertility gene present in their body, sure the human race would come to an end sooner than ever imagined. Hence the most sought after thing was the human gene which has chromosome of fertility which is unavailable.

A German scientist finally comes to the conclusion through a extensive but a quick test conducted by him establishes that the common enemy, that is the mosquitoes were having the trace of human blood with them contained the gene factor needed for the genetic scientists who are about to create human force with fertile gene. Thus the mankind was saved again without having to face an abrupt end. This is the story that is going to happen in the future if you are kind enough to leave the mosquitoes as they are now.”

I was astonished with the near perfect logic the story carries, to some extent the ideas revolving around some Hollywood films taken during the 20th century, but still confused without any words coming out of my mouth gasping at the intruder.

“Now I will leave the option open to you, and decide as you wish but remember if you still do not believe me and do the trial and get it approved tomorrow, you are the one single man who was responsible for the complete elimination of human force on earth,” saying this, he left the apartment and walked out.

Suddenly I got out of my bed with a jerk, and found myself in the bed with the lithium clock showing the time as 2 a.m. I rubbed my eyes and could not understand whether all these time I was dreaming or really somebody entered into my house and had the conversation. I slowly recollected the conversation and I could not simply brush it aside as a dream. It could have happened really and there is also a slight chance that this could have been a dream. I went to the door and found that the door indeed was open and checked the master computer where I really forgotten to enter the safety password to close the premises.

As I was thinking rubbing my forehead, I suddenly found a tie, which is a worn out one, most probably the one seen on the neck of the intruder who visited yesterday.

YES. It was real. I was not dreaming. Certainly I could not become the villain of the human race by eliminating the mosquitoes. I decided to go back on my research with some excuse and as a most important thing I went to the master computer and put on my 28-digit password and accessed to the file where I created all the trial tests and programmes related to the research. One by one I eliminated all files. Now I felt fresh air blowing my face and felt relaxed and went for sleep.

In the morning I was awaken by the sound of door alarm and got up and went to the peep in camera and asked for the person who rang the bell.

“It is me, Edward, Your assistant”

“Okay, what is the matter, why you have come so early at this wee hour?”
I questioned.

He replied through the phone, Sir; Sorry I have not closed the door yesterday properly.”

“All right it is Okay”

“ Yesterday, I left a worn out tie in your room, which is one of my collection, you know I am collecting items belonging to the old centuries and this tie which I left yesterday belonged to 14th century, can I have it back?”

Though I was shocked, later I gathered courage to recover from the initial shock.
So the question was whether the intruder was here yesterday or not? I could not find the answer. Or would I be able to find the answer?

That day thinking this again and again, I stumped upon another idea. Whether I can prove the presence of a person in my room yesterday by any means? I guessed it is possible by collecting all the available traces of moisture and carbon-di-oxide and odour present in the atmosphere of the room. This line of thinking led me to another extensive research for a couple of years, which resulted in the invention of a device, which established the presence of a person in a particular place at a particular time. This not only helped the Social crime control Department of the State in tracing and proving many crimes but also landed me in getting the most coveted Intelligent award, for creating a milestone in medical forensic research, which is yet another story.
